The UHWO Computer Lab is always looking for RELIABLE STUDENTS to work in the computer lab. Even if we do not have any current job openings, we will keep your name under consideration when a job does open up. To work at the Computer Lab (and anywhere else on campus), you must be taking at least 6 credits, maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average, and cannot be on acadmic probation. Please see the job description below for a description of duties as well as a list of minimum and desirable qualifications.

Job Description
Lab Monitor's main responsibilities include: Monitoring the computer lab, signing students in and out, delivering audio-visual equipment, taking equipment requests, and performing other miscellaneous duties. Lab Monitor may also be asked to assist students, faculty, and/or staff with computer use.
-Starting pay $8.85/hour
-Must be enrolled in at least six credits.
-20 hour week maximum
Minimum Qualifications:
-Must be RELIABLE.
-Must have AT LEAST basic skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, and the World Wide Web
-Must be RELIABLE.
-Must be able to work well with people
-Must be RELIABLE.
-Must be able to follow instructions (written and oral)
-Must be RELIABLE.
-Must be able to make good decisions
-Must be RELIABLE.
Desirable/Ideal Qualifications:
-Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows & Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access)
-Extensive knowledge of the World Wide Web and UH WebMail
-Knowledge of WebCT
-Knowledge of SPSS
-Knowledge of Audio-Visual equipment (video camcorders, VCRs, etc.)
-Knowledge of Scanners
-Networking skills
-Web Design skills
-Desktop Publishing skills
